Extracurricular with Callie

Callie is a freshman at our Lewisville campus.  She is active in her theatre, The Actors Conservatory Theater.  Her most recent full production was with Narnia, where she worked backstage.  She works side by side with the stage managers prior to the shows preparing sets and props, as well as making adjustments needed to assist the actors as they move on and off the stage between acts.  In an effort to make a show run as smoothly as possible, Callie learns each stage hand’s role as well as any cues, so if someone is absent, she can step in and assist.  A famous saying in theatre is, “the show...

Thanksgiving and Christmas Projects Provide Opportunities for Service and Generosity

In November, our Lewisville students and staff participated in Operation Christmas Child, sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse International. Students brought their purchased donations to fill shoeboxes for their adopted children. Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child demonstrates God’s love to hurting children in a tangible way, by partnering with churches worldwide to deliver gift- filled shoeboxes and the Good News of Jesus Christ.
